This page explains how Gold Update is currently monetised and which safeguards apply before any future commercial integration. Last updated: 11 August 2026.

Current status
Gold Update currently contains no advertising, affiliate links, paid placements or sponsored rankings. It neither sells nor brokers products. The editorial team therefore currently receives no website compensation for clicks, leads, purchases or mentioning a provider.
Future advertising
If advertising is introduced, it will appear only in clearly separated areas and be labelled unambiguously as “Advertising” or “Ad”. Advertisers will have no influence over gold-price calculations, chart data, calculator results, editorial conclusions, source selection or corrections. A reserved area is not an active advertisement.
Affiliate and commercial links
If a link may generate compensation in the future, that fact will be explained beside the link or in its immediate section and the link will be marked technically as sponsored. An affiliate model must not alter prices or disguise a recommendation. Ordinary source and public-authority links remain separate.
Comparisons, rankings and calculators
Paid positions will not be presented as editorial rankings. Calculators use documented formulas and market data, not provider compensation. If Gold Update later compares providers, the selection criteria, data date, compensation model and parts of the market not covered must be explained with the comparison.
Privacy before monetisation
Before any advertising, affiliate or audience-measurement service is enabled, its data flows, legal basis, consent requirements and retention periods will be reviewed. The privacy notice and, where required, consent controls will be updated before technical activation. Until then, Gold Update builds no advertising profiles and sets no advertising cookies.
Editorial interests and questions
Material conflicts of interest are disclosed where they are relevant to assessing content. Commercial enquiries or reports of missing disclosures can be sent to contact@gold-update.com. Factual errors are handled under the published corrections policy regardless of any commercial relationship.
