Editorial principles
Clarity must not come at the expense of accuracy. These principles apply to market explanations, guides and calculators.
Separating facts and interpretation
Definitions, data and applicable rules are separated from interpretation. Correlations are not presented as certain causes, and uncertainty is stated openly.
No concealed sales intent
There are currently no affiliate links, paid product recommendations or personal investment proposals. Any future advertising must be separated from editorial content and clearly labelled.
Sources
Priority is given to legislation, public authorities, central banks, market infrastructure and documented provider sources. Industry organisations are identified as such. Guides identify the responsible editor, publication and review dates, and central sources.
Review
Tax, legal and data-methodology content is reviewed when the underlying facts change. Outdated content is corrected or clearly marked. Gold Update does not provide individual legal or tax advice.
